Marathoner

Sean Chin, Marathoner. Crossing the 42.2KM finish line for the first time is the best feeling ever!! ????? Official chip time: 05:17:52.6. Obviously not the result I wanted. The race itself was brutal after 30km. Aerobically I felt great, but my left ankle was in pain and then both my legs just totally gave out. The marathon exposes. But I learned so much. Thank you to all the volunteers, spectators, @runcrs organizers, and @scotiabank for making this a memorable day of achievement for everyone and I. More thoughts to come….but for now, I need a hot shower and an all-you-can-eat sushi bar #STWM #STWM2018 #RunTO#THISIS30 #InfinitePotential #NoLimits

It’s been one year in the making. Last July, I took up running to enhance my level of fitness. I started at @runningroom_newmarket Learn to Run group. Then worked my way up to 5k, 10k, and then the Half-marathon distance. My goal has always been to compete a full marathon. Tomorrow is that day. I put as much physical and mental training effort in as I could. And while I didn’t get to have the entire block of speed work that I wanted near to the tapper due to my left foot extensor tendonitis, I still trust in everything I’ve done. Good luck to @attherockshow, @zuzieque, @blee3x, @shaneruns0630, & all 25,000 strong runners. All I can do now is make my way to the start line and have a beautiful race ????? #STWM #STWM2018 #InfinitePotential #NoLimits #HardworkPaysOff #MarathonTraining #JustDoIt #RunonClouds #RunwithRR

STWM 2018 Final “Weigh-in”

#TrustinTheProcess: Final weigh-in with @inbodyusa before the carb-loading for the @Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon this Sunday. I knew that I’d probably lose a bit of muscle mass with all the cardio workouts but that’s expected for endurance training. However, I also shredded some excess body fat too. Overall, I’m energized and excited for my first 42.2km race. My nutrition is dialed in. I’ve been getting 8h30 of sleep every night. And bumping my sodium intake accordingly. Potassium levels. I’ve done everything I can nutritionally, mentally, and physically with cross-training. TRUST IN THE PROCESS…let the #carbloading begin!

Life

Welcome Aboard My Journey

Hello everyone! It’s been almost 3 years since I’ve posted on here. So much as happened in my life. And I can’t wait to share it with you. I made this channel and website because I believe in challenging the status quo and proving that the average person can live a long healthy life.

WHY

In the first 29 years of my life, other than a few swimming classes and softball games as a kid, I’ve had barely any physical activities. I had a terrible diet with processed foods, meats, dairy, junk food, and fast food.

HOW

How will I do this? I find that creating a platform for accountability absolutely helps. Ex. Apple Watch and Reddit groups, or running groups. Gyms. So far, I found that the running community on Instagram to be super positive and supportive. So I feel keeping my website and YouTube up to date will keep me more accountable and consistent.

WHAT

What will I do to make this sustainable and continually making it both challenging and fun? I will keep you all updated on future races /events I plan to part take in. And also do in-depth recaps of past events. And reflect on things like race preparation training , day-of experience, what I learned from it, and how I plan to address and overcome these short comings . Together we will share insight to all create a better version of us.
